Privacy Policy

1. Scope and responsibility

ROLLING DIGITAL PTE. LTD. operates NovelZones and determines how the information described in this policy is handled. This policy governs our own processing. It also describes, but does not control, the activities of third parties whose services appear on the site — advertising networks, analytics providers and hosting providers — each acting under its own privacy policy.

2. Information collected automatically

• Network identifiers— IP address, and approximate location derived from it no more precisely than at city level
• Device and browser data— user-agent string, browser and version, operating system, device class, screen dimensions, language setting
• Usage data— pages and category indexes viewed, novels opened, chapters read, navigation order, timestamps and session duration
• Referral data— the page or search engine that referred you, where reported
• Diagnostic data— error events, failed loads and performance timings
• Cookie and local storage data— as described in the Cookie and Consent Notice

3. Reading history and progress

The site keeps your reading position and history so that a novel resumes where you left it. This is stored locally in your own browser, not in an account on our servers. It stays on the device you were reading on, does not synchronize between devices, and is erased permanently if you clear your browser storage. We cannot retrieve it for you, because we never held it.

This matters more on a site with an adult category than on most: your reading history is on your device, under your control, and is not held by us in any form that could be disclosed, sold or requested.

4. Information you provide

Only what you put in an email or contact message: your email address, your name if you sign it, and the contents of the message.

5. Information we do not collect

NovelZones operates no reader accounts. We hold no usernames or passwords. We process no payments and hold no financial data. We do not request your name, postal address, telephone number or date of birth, and we do not collect precise geolocation.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Operating the site — serving pages and chapters and maintaining sessions. Necessary to provide the service you requested.

Measurement and improvement — understanding in aggregate which novels and genres are read, how far into a serial readers get, and where they stop, so the catalog develops sensibly. Our legitimate interest in maintaining and developing the service.

Security and abuse prevention — detecting scraping, automated text extraction, click fraud and attempts to circumvent access controls or age gates. Legitimate interest and, in some cases, legal obligation.

Advertising — selecting, delivering, frequency-capping and measuring advertisements. Consent where applicable law requires it, otherwise legitimate interest.

7. Third parties who receive data

Advertising partners — receive data through the ad-serving and measurement process.

Analytics providers — aggregate traffic and reading measurement.

Infrastructure providers — hosting and content delivery providers process request data as part of serving the site.

Legal disclosure — we may disclose information where required by law, court order or lawful request of a public authority, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, including claims concerning unauthorized copying of our catalog.

8. Sale and sharing

ROLLING DIGITAL PTE. LTD. does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Certain disclosures to advertising partners may nonetheless meet the definition of a "sale" or of "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under several United States state privacy statutes. Where those statutes provide an opt-out, we honor it, including opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control transmitted by your browser.

9. Sensitive inferences

Reading material can imply things about a person. We do not build interest profiles from reading behavior, do not segment readers by the genres they read, and do not pass genre-level or title-level reading data to advertising partners for audience building. Advertising on adult-category pages is configured to non-personalized serving where our partners support it.

10. International transfers

Service providers may be located outside your country of residence. Where a transfer involves personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it relies on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Retention

• Server and security logs — up to 12 months, then deleted or irreversibly aggregated
• Analytics — retained in aggregate form identifying no individual
• Reading history and progress — held in your browser, under your control, until you clear it
• Session cookies — cleared when the browser closes
• Persistent cookies — from several days to approximately 24 months by function
• Email correspondence — for the life of the matter and a reasonable period afterwards

12. Security

Data in transit is encrypted, administrative access is restricted to those who require it, and third-party components are reviewed before deployment. These are proportionate measures rather than absolute protection, and no operator of a public website can promise the latter.

13. Your rights

European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability; objection to processing based on legitimate interests; withdrawal of consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.

California and comparable United States jurisdictions. Disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; deletion; correction; opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising; and freedom from discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. An authorized agent may act with proof of authority.

Everywhere else. The same process is available regardless of where you live, subject to applicable law.

How to exercise them. Write to support@novelzones.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We respond within the period the applicable statute prescribes. Because the site holds no accounts and reading history sits in your browser rather than on our servers, there is frequently no record associable with a particular individual; where that is so we will say it plainly rather than construct a response.

14. Children

NovelZones is not directed at children, and parts of the catalog are not suitable for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and delete it promptly where we become aware we have. The Age and Content Notice sets out further information for parents and guardians.

15. Changes

Amendments are published with a revised date, and material changes are identified prominently rather than absorbed quietly into the text. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance.
